The Freston Boot is a lovingly restored gem of a pub in a beautiful countryside setting. With a kitchen garden providing seasonal produce for our dedicated kitchen brigade, you can always expect delicious food using locally sourced game, meat and seafood. Our resident hens and apple yard ducks supply us with fresh eggs.
Yet there is still more to The Boot - an animal farm trail, our very own native bees, wedding paddock and a retro mini cinema.
Booking by phone (01473 780722) is advised, especially if reservation is required for the same day, otherwise email
As summer gives way to autumn, we've introduced our new Autumn Menu with lots of great dishes. On Sundays, we're serving brunch from 10-11am an then from, 12 noon, our ever-popular roast lunches and dinners, along with our Kids Menu.
What hasn't changed though is our unambiguous priority - the safety of our customers and of our staff.
To ensure the maximum amount of social distancing between tables, we've attached a marquee to the rear of the building. This allows us to keep our existing indoor capacity but to provide plenty of safe space between tables. We know that marquees can sometimes be rather drap and depressing, but we think we've done this one rather well and in keeping with the character of The Boot.
We still have our outdoor seating (fingers crossed for some good autumn weather!), the Roundhouse (which can safely seat 2 tables of 4-6 outside under permanent cover) and, of course, if you'd like to book a socially distanced table in the main building, just let us know.
Please note our new opening hours below.

In accordance with government regulations, we have introduced a full table service, including for drinks. You will be shown to a table upon arrival. Please note, face coverings must be worn at all times other than when seated at your table.
Please use the hand sanitiser upon arrival.
We've put in place a 'one-way' system to avoid pinch-points and our tables are well-spaced to allow plenty of safe social distancing.
We've placed lots of signage and notices inside and outside the pub outlining all of the procedures. These will also be explained to you by a member of staff (observing social distancing) when you enter the building who will then show you to your table. We don't want to make things overly complicated. We just want to keep everyone safe and happy!
You will need to either email your contact details to email@example.com or check in upon arrival using our QR code which is displayed on the window by the main entrance and by the bar.
We would encourage all diners to book a table in advance.
