We’re heading up a forked road with our food at The Boot. Remaining true to the pub ideals we hold so dear – absolute classics such as fish & chips, pies, ploughmans et al – using our great contacts from the amazing and plentiful world of Suffolk food producers, growers & suppliers. We won’t be serving our chips in cutesy little fake fry baskets or stacking them up like a mini-Jenga.
The other style will be served on smaller, locally made plates & bowls – your choice of how many you want. Go for a couple each & see how you get on, stay awhile and order another couple to share. Constantly changing and featuring stuff grown from just across the way from our kitchen garden.
Drink – kombucha! We’ll be making our own using herbs, fruit & honey from the kitchen garden to flavour our own sweet fermented tea (tastes so much better than it sounds!). Local beers and English lagers on the bar, plenty of wines by the glass.
