The Freston Boot is a lovingly restored gem of a pub in a beautiful countryside setting.

With a kitchen garden providing seasonal produce for our dedicated kitchen brigade, you can always expect delicious food using locally sourced game, meat and seafood. We make sure that we make or produce everything we possibly can. So, for example, all of our bread and ice-cream is home-made and our resident hens and apple yard ducks supply us with fresh eggs.

But there’s even more to The Boot experience than wonderful, fresh, home-grown food and an ever-changing selection of ales…..

Our Menu

Quality Ingredients, Tasty Meals

We’re all about seasonal and local produce here at The Boot. With our own kitchen garden, chickens and smokehouse, much of what we cook is from our very own produce! We source all our game, meat and seafood from local sustainable game keepers, farmers and fishermen.

Happy Customers!

Fantastic food, great staff, including the kitchen staff who said hello during our meal The garden out the back is brilliant I thought it was going to be pricey but it actually turned out very reasonable I had the beef Sunday roast which was *almost* as good as my own! Location is a bit odd but I very much recommend making the trip out to it, you won't be disappointed

Stunning Caribbean chicken, great flavour and presentation was first class. Companions had Burgers 🍔 that looked great and told very tasty. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Great decor inside very well looked after. Great selection of beers and lagers. Out side nice tables and chairs. A little round cottage you can rent for a small intimate meal. Grounds also have animals for kids too see. Modern clean toilets. I would highly recommend The Boot. As i said to my wife "BEST MEAL I HAVE HAD OUT FOR AGES"

What a delight! Lovely food, vegetarian and vegan friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, and a very sweet little pub dog. I've seen reviews likening the the Boot to the Unruly Pig. But no, the Boot is so very much better.
